About

Who we are:

We are a games developer from Warsaw, Poland.

Psychosomatic was founded by a group of highly creative, open minded individuals that joined together to create innovative and fun computer games. Founding members consisted mainly of computer science and information technology professionals who in the past have done things as diverse as cell phone Java games development, Nintendo DS game development, image recognition, broadcast media logging systems, AI development for turn based games (Freeciv), BDI agent development, demoscene productions or even graphing calculator games. Currently Psychosomatic is still composed mainly from PhD students from Warsaw University of Technology.

Why Psychosomatic:

According to the American Heritage dictionary:
Psy·che:
1. The spirit or soul. 2. Psychiatry The mind functioning as the center of thought, emotion, and behavior and consciously or unconsciously adjusting or mediating the body's responses to the social and physical environment.
So·ma·ta
1. The entire body of an organism, exclusive of the germ cells. 2. The portion of a nerve cell that contains the nucleus but does not incorporate the dendrites or axon. 3. The body of an individual as contrasted with the mind or psyche.
Psy·cho·so·mat·ic
1. Of or relating to a disorder having physical symptoms but originating from mental or emotional causes. 2. Relating to or concerned with the influence of the mind on the body, and the body on the mind, especially with respect to disease: psychosomatic medicine.

We chose the name Psychosomatic because we believe strongly that all great things are ideas first and that ideas can be materialized into 'flesh' through hard work. We also believe in making games which are so immersive and deep, that they influence your soul to such an extent, that it almost feels like a piece of your body went physically to the other side of the screen.

From mind to body. From ideas to great games. Psychosomatic.

What we are doing:

Currently most of our efforts are directed towards developing Dynamino and Toobex games.
